John Addison is a seasoned construction and insurance professional with over 20 years of experience spanning field operations, technical consulting, and executive leadership. With a foundation in carpentry and a proven track record as a General Manager, he brings hands-on expertise to his role as Director of Pario Quantify’s Specialty Division, where he currently leads a national team of senior consultants delivering specialized valuation, cost consulting, and large-loss advisory services.

John’s core strengths include complex cost analysis, bid development, code compliance, and liability mitigation. John has managed high volumes of claims, often overseeing dozens of files with evolving scopes and multiple stakeholders. His ability to navigate intricate scenarios and deliver accurate, defensible valuations has made him a trusted advisor in the insurance and construction sectors.

Throughout his career, John has also led the response and resolution of numerous catastrophic (CAT) losses, large-loss claims, and complex insurance cases across Canada. In 2023, he oversaw the entire cost appraisal division following a major wildfire at Fox Lake in Northern Alberta, one of the largest concentrated structural losses for a single First Nation in recent history with 190 homes destroyed.

John is recognized for his skill in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and facilitating communication between stakeholders, and his leadership has been pivotal in managing complex restoration projects following wildfires, floods, and structural failures. He is IICRC-certified as a Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT).
